Haven't been Reading :O

Soooo.. The last few days I haven't been reading at all :O instead I've been catching up on my series and made friendship bracelets instead.. :p

The springtime is finally here and summer is right around the corner, which means I start craving super easy and fun books to read while laying out on the grass on the sun. With that in mind I've chosen The Disenchantments by Nina LaCour and Supergirl Mixtapes by Meagan Brothers for this weeks WW. 

The Disenchantments is about graduation, summer, music and life choices, in a sense. Colby and Bev have a pact for when they graduate; they are going to go on the road with Bev's band a spend the next year traveling around Europe. However during the summer the plan is failing and new plans takes form. A book about music, summer and hopefully some loveydoveyness is seems like a perfect summer read in my mind. 

Supergirl Mixtapes is about a girl named Maria who are going to visit her estranged mother in NY for the summer. She is looking for some big city adventure, flirting and pure bliss and finds herself immersed in the rock music and busy streets that New York has to offer. However her mother caries some secrets and Maria finds herself in the need to decide where and with whom her loyalty lies. 

Considering my recent splurge on books... I don't know if I actually will get my hands on these books this summer, but lets just imagine a fairy book mother of some sorts will come and grant all my bookish wishes while I lay in the summer sun enjoying what the life of books has to offer.

Book Review: Spell Bound by Rachel Hawkins

Spell Bound was a worthy end of the Hex Hall trilogy (I actually shed a couple of tears at the end there, if you have read the book I guess you know why). This book, along with the two first, are full of wit and banter which I love about this series and I'm sad that I couldn't just dive into another one after I finsihed it. There seemed to be a lot of jumping in time in this book which made certain scenes feel a little bit cut short, but at the same time I'm pleased that Rachel did it this way since the story and the plot didn't suffer any from it. I would reccomend this trilogy to all YA lovers who have a thing for sassy heroines with paranormal powers.

Book Review: Demonglass by Rachel Hawkins

I enjoyed Demonglass as much as I enjoyed Hex Hall, the only reason I gave it four instead of five stars is that the storyline isn't completely new to me anymore, but the book was still really really good. 


The story picks up a few months after the first book and spoiler alert: England, jeeeeey! That's all I'm going to say about that. In this books Sophie has to deal with her origins and a love interest who is a part of the group set out to kill her kind, isn't that lovely?
I love how I can't guess what's going to happen in these books, they are full of surprise and humor. And really hard to put down! All who are into YA paranormal should give these books a go, as well as you who think you're not into this spiel; you might just change your mind.

I was kind of hesitant going into this book, I wasn't sure if this book was hyped up or if it really was worth my time reading it, because I've heard so much about it and it seemed like everyone I follow in the book community on YouTube has this series on their shelves. However I found this book to be amazing! I don't know what it is, but I find books that take place in some sort of boarding school really thrilling, hehe. I devoured every single page, the writing was really good, the humor seeps through every page and Sophie has become one of my favorite characters, she is so fun and sarcastic that you can't help love her.
