April Wrap Up

I don't think I've ever read so many books in only one month before! There are twelve pictures but the Aurora Teagarden Omnibus actually contains the four first books in that series which mean that I've actually read frexing 15(!) books this month! I salute me, lol!

There is a fine little mix of books in there as well, mostly YA, but also adult high fantasy (is that correct?), a children's book and a  middle grade one. The books were all great in each their way, but if i were to skip one it would be Prom Nights From Hell, which was just OK, nothing special.

Divergent however: AMAZING! I also really really enjoyed Hex Hall, The Maze Runner and basically almost all the books I read this month. Michael Grant kind of disappointed me though. Usually the second book in a series is better then the first, but i don't know in this instance, but The Trap wasn't bad and I enjoyed the humor in it. But I can also recognize that I'm also not exactly the target audience for the book..

Across the Universe and A Million Suns by Beth Revis was also very good, but i feel that it could also have been so much more..  However I really really think that the third and last book will be amazeballs though! So cannot wait for that one, and if we survive 2012 (with the Mayan calendar ending and all) I will have it in my TBR for May next year - Yaaaaay!

Currently reading: Hex Hall by Rachel Hawkins

I'm about a third in so we'll see if this will be a part of the April wrap up or May.

Across the Universe & A Million Suns by Beth Ravis

These are the two first books in the Across the Universe trilogy, and the last one, Shades of Earth will be published in 2013. In May if I'm not mistaken.

This book is about seventeen year old Amy who, along with er parents is frozen aboard the spaceship Godspeed. They are headed for a new planet and are supposed to be unfrozen 300 years in the future. However, someone unfreezes Amy fifty years early and leaves her there to die..

Which she doesn't, obviously, 'cause what kind of start to a series does that make?

She has to live on the ship with it's crewmembers and she befriends Elder, the future leader of the ship.

Do you smell a love interest? Yes you dooo-ooo.

So this is the basic premise of this trilogy. But what do I have to say about the series you ask? Well I'm gonna tell you!

I have given both books four out of five stars on Goodreads. The first book does take a while to get into, which is understandable considering there are several characters to get to know, love and hate. After you get over that awkward first part there the book is really unputdownable! And then the second book you can skip right over that fase and get straight to the action! Another thing I struggled a little bit with is that every other chapter alternates by having Amy or Elder as a narratir. (And what kind of a name is Elder anyways? Lol)

But the series is great! There is action, there is love, there is compassion and there is a hell of a lot of questions I need to get the answer to! I cannot wait for the third and final book and it really pains me that it's a whole frexing year until i get dive into the final chapter!

So should you read this series? Yes you should!

Some changes!

Okay, first of all; I'm going to try to write all my posts in english from now on, which probably means that there will be a few grammatical errors since it's been a while, lol. But hopefully i will get my point across somehow anyways.

I will also try to post more regularely and have a few regular posts each week/month. I don't know if i will give an in depth review for aaaaall the books that i read, but at least of the books i really like i will give it a chance (though i'm not that good at it; yet). Each month i will continue with the wrap-up posts that I've been doing, but I will also have a TBR-post of some of the books I aim to read that following month. There will probably be some IMM/Book Hauls, but I will aslo have some wishlist-post on books that I can't wait to read and really wish was in my bookshelf this very moment.

Also, in my time of watching booktubers on YouTube I've noticed that I enjoy the occasional Top Ten Tuesday as well as some of the question-tag videos, so I might do some of those eventually so that anyone who stumbles upon this blog and might want to learn some more about me can do just that.

I will however don't have any Q&A post considering i don't have a single comment on this blog, lol.

March 2012 Wrap-up

So I didn't get to read as much in March, i guess I wasn't in the mood for it, so these three are the only books for the month of March. I've made up for it in April though, just wait and see ;)
