Top Ten Tuesday

"Top Ten Tuesday is an original feature/weekly meme created here at The Broke and the Bookish. This feature was created because we are particularly fond of lists here at The Broke and the Bookish. We'd love to share our lists with other bookish folks and would LOVE to see your top ten lists!"

This weeks topic on Top Ten Tuesday is Top Ten Favorite Quotes From Books.

Sadly I'm not very good at memorizing quotes from books. I keep meaning to write them down or mark them or something, but alas; i never do. So this list will be faaaar from complete, but I will give it a shot anyways:

1: "Let's just say you may regret that second piece of cake.'
Oh my God. Regret cake? Whatever was about to happen must be truly evil."
— Rachel Hawkins (Hex Hall (Hex Hall, #1))

2: "I solemnly swear that I am up to no good."
— J.K. Rowling (Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban (Harry Potter, #3))

3: "Perfect is overrated. Perfect is boring."
I smile. "You don't think I'm perfect?"
"No. You're delightfully screwy, and I wouldn't have you any other way."
— Stephanie Perkins (Lola and the Boy Next Door)

4: "It is our choices, Harry, that show us what we truly are, far more than our abilities."
— J.K. Rowling (Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets (Harry Potter, #2))

5: "Wow," Thalia muttered. "Apollo is hot."
"He's the sun god," I said.
"That's not what I meant."
— Rick Riordan (The Titan's Curse (Percy Jackson and the Olympians, #3))

6: "I used to dream about escaping my ordinary life, but my life was never ordinary. I had simply failed to notice how extraordinary it was."
— Ransom Riggs (Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children (Miss Peregrine #1))

7: "Do you remember me telling you we are practicing non-verbal spells, Potter?"
"Yes," said Harry stiffly.
"Yes, sir."
"There's no need to call me "sir" Professor."
The words had escaped him before he knew what he was saying."
— J.K. Rowling (Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince (Harry Potter, #6))

8: "When I look at my room, I see a girl who loves books."
— John Green (Looking for Alaska)

9: "But if all they did was kill time, time would end up killing them."
— Michael Grant (Gone (Gone, #1))

10: "Shouldn't someone give a pep talk or something?" Minho asked, pulling Thomas's attention away from Alby.
"Go ahead" Newt replied.
Minho nodded and faced the crowd. "Be careful," he said dryly.
"Don't die."
— James Dashner (The Maze Runner (Maze Runner, #1))
